Upcoming GOS changes – PMS supplier delivery timelines

To support the upcoming changes to General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) on Friday 1st August 2025, a number of system updates are being introduced. All PMS suppliers have been informed of the required changes and the associated timescales.

Please note:

With the changes to GOS examinations and launch of GOS(SS) from 1st August, the following practice management software suppliers have completed accreditation:

System-to system

• Optical Express
• Optinet
• Optisoft
• Optix
• XeyeX

Query String

• iClarity
• Opticabase
• Vision Express

This means that even though these systems will be available to you and may be updated with software releases from those suppliers, there is a risk that you may encounter some rejections of claims.

We are continuing work with these suppliers to get the outstanding tests finished as soon as possible to allow Accreditation to be completed. Depending on any issues encountered, suppliers may have to make further software releases.
