CPDA and Enhanced Domiciliary Care Allowance (GP 214 - ESD)
Published on 09 October 2026
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Allowance (previously GP214)
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Allowance is available to dentists providing General Dental Services (GDS) in Scotland who attend approved courses. The allowance supports ongoing professional development and enhanced practitioner training. Eligibility criteria are set out in the Statement of Dental Remuneration (SDR), Determination VII.
A new digital process is now available for submitting CPD claims for courses that are NOT run or delivered by PSD Scotland. This new digital process will replace the GP214 form.
- Non-PSD Scotland courses: Claims should be submitted using the digital webform.
- PSD Scotland-run or delivered courses: Claims must continue to be submitted through the NES Portal.
Please note: If you have already submitted a CPD claim using the previous PDF form, you do not need to submit the claim again via the digital webform.
You can access the digital CPD claim form here.
